EmpowerHER
Project goals
The EmpowerHER initiative funded by ViiV Healthcare, provides Black/African-American Women, (US and non-US born), living in the bi-state St. Louis Metropolitan area, who are 18 and older with culturally appropriate HIV prevention options that are respectful to Black Women’s lived experiences and realities.
Through our strategic messaging that reframes Black/African-American Women’s risk to reasons/barriers, we provide access to HIV prevention education, services, and products (e.g., condoms, testing, and PrEP) community outreach, HIV/STI prevention kits, HIV/STI testing, and empower women ambassadors through our education series “Brown Girls Brunch”, in disadvantaged and underserved communities.
