A door-to-door research and education initiative to equip community members to respond effectively to overdose events.
Program goals
The Block by Block program is a research and education initiative aimed at engaging underserved populations, minority communities, and rural areas. Through door-to-door outreach, staff collect data on community experiences related to overdoses, including witnessing and responding to overdose events. The program also provides Narcan training and distributes Narcan kits to equip community members to respond effectively in emergencies. This grant is funded by Northwestern University, and all collected data is reported back to the university for research and Analysis

We have been serving St. Louis and East St. Louis residents for over 30 years. Our services cover HIV/STI testing, treatment and prevention, mental health services, substance misuse support and more. We also offer supportive services like food assistance and safe spaces.
